Hi Mac,
Very very cool. Actually just what I needed as we are working on Lathe codes. We will add them to the project.
But I can't read
the files back into Artofillusion without the aoi files. Is there a way to do this? Or do you mind providing them?

Great timing indeed, any chance your adding the ability for front and/or rear turrets?
I've built a machine that using gang tooling and has an additional Y axis servo spindle. So the ability simulate passes from both sides and the milling would be sweet. I am attempting to use FeatureCam but having integral KmotionCNC graphics, that would be awesome. A way to change the graphics tool displayed based on a tool change call.
Ya I know I am asking for a lot, but think how cool? Show us some more of your programming skills. LOL
Time to take this past Mach# whatever.
Regards
Mac

Hi Mac,
Thanks for the tool aoi files.
Could you describe your Lathe in more detail? I think I saw your rotating Gang Tooling Changer. Can
that position tools for front and back? Or how does that work? Also what is the Y axis Spindle?
Also maybe a rough drawing of how you would expect the GCode Viewer to display all this?
No promises though :}

I added a photo to my photo folder that shows the base machine with only one tool holding block. Have made up several dedicated right, left handed, drill and boring bar holding blocks that mount on the X axis using the T-slots. I like being able to cut from either side. For now each tool tip has its own work offset. Until I can figure out how to use your tool offset system for my needs. The Servo Mill head can be mounted either vertical or at 90 degrees, also using a work offset.
Graphically I envision simulated tool passes that would show OD/ID from both sides of the part all based on spindle center-line. Tool nose position is the part program coordinates. Should not make a difference which side of center-line the cutter path is. Just the tool graphics to display relatively correctly. I've programmed these type of machines for over 15 years. Very fast for production runs.
Would need an added tool screen field to relate the graphic tool display name with the tool number. Using a pull down menu to choose available graphics. The simulation would update tool graphics with Tool change call.
You say What?
"No promises though :}"
Even if I beg, lol
